Please read these terms before using the ClearZone app ("the app"). By installing or using the app, you agree to them.
ClearZone is a productivity tool that helps you stay focused by blocking selected apps on your phone when it detects a paired ClearZone beacon nearby, and unblocking them when you move away or start a break. It is intended to support self-directed focus and digital-wellbeing habits.
ClearZone's core feature — proximity-based focus locking — requires a separate, physical ClearZone beacon, which is sold separately and is not included with the app. Without a beacon, the app's locking behavior will not trigger. The app may offer a limited preview of the lock experience, but normal use requires the hardware.
ClearZone is a self-discipline aid, not a security, parental-control enforcement, or device-locking product. It can be disabled by turning off its Accessibility Service or uninstalling the app, and it is not designed to prevent a determined user from bypassing it. Do not rely on ClearZone for safety, security, supervision, or any situation where guaranteed app blocking is required.
You agree to use ClearZone only on devices you own or are authorized to manage, and only in a lawful manner. You are responsible for your choice of which apps to block and for ensuring you retain access to any apps you need (for example, emergency or communication apps).
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that focus detection will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free; BLE signal strength varies with environment and hardware.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including missed notifications, blocked access to an app, or reliance on the app's blocking behavior.
We may update these terms; the effective date above will reflect the latest version, posted at this URL. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
